The conditioner sits between cracking and flaking. Cracked seed arrives at 8-10% moisture, too brittle to flake cleanly; direct steam injection with indirect heating raises it to 10-12% at 60-70°C, so the seed deforms into a flake instead of shattering into fines.
Residence time is 15-30 minutes with internal mixing, long enough for heat and moisture to reach the full bed rather than its surface. Stainless steel construction stands the continuous steam. The payoff is 15-20% less flaking power, fewer fines and longer roll life.
For lines from 50 to 500 TPD on soybean, sunflower, rapeseed, cottonseed and groundnut. Feedstocks needing 20-40 minutes of multi-stage treatment want the Cooker instead.
Every Conditioner is built to your plant’s throughput at our Pithampur works near Indore and supplied to solvent extraction plants and oil mills across India. Capacity, drive rating and the interfaces to the machines either side of it are settled against your existing line before fabrication starts.

Frequently Asked Questions
What capacity range do your conditioners cover?
Lines from 50 to 500 TPD, raising seed moisture to a 10-12% target at 60-70°C with a 15-30 minute residence time.
Do I need a conditioner or a cooker?
Most standard oilseed lines are served by a conditioner’s 15-30 minute cycle. High-protein feedstocks that need longer, multi-stage treatment (20-40 minutes) call for a cooker instead — the deciding factor is the residence time your feedstock needs.
Is the conditioner customised to my requirement?
Yes. Every machine we build is custom-engineered — capacity, dimensions, and configuration are matched to your line. Send your requirement via the enquiry form or call +91 91091 02280 for a firm quote.
Do you commission the Conditioner in our plant and train our operators?
Yes. Our engineers erect and commission it alongside your process team and run it in on your actual feedstock rather than on a test load, then train your operators on start-up, changeover and cleaning at handover.
