C Hooks lift steel coils horizontally by entering the bore and taking the load on the inner diameter. The counterbalanced design keeps the hook hanging level when it is empty, and a compact profile lets it work in a tight bay.

Every C Hook is built to order at our Pithampur works near Indore and supplied direct to steel plants, service centres and fabricators across India. We size it against the crane it will hang from and the material it has to carry, proof load test it before despatch, and send the test certificate out with the machine.

Product Variants

  • Counter Weight C Hook: Integrated counterweight for stable heavy lifting
  • Spring C Hook: Automatic engagement mechanism
  • Double Coil C Hook: Twin prongs carry a coil each, so two coils move on one crane pick instead of two
  • Container Loading C Hook: Slim upright and long reach arms, so hook and load pass a container door together, with the arm form changing to suit the cargo — twin forks, a single coil arm, or V-notch cradles for a pipe bundle. See the dedicated container loading C hook page

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the maximum capacity of your C hooks?

Our C hooks handle coils up to 70 ton, with coil inner diameters of 508-762 mm as standard and other ID ranges available on request.

How do I choose the right C hook for my crane?

Match the C hook to your coil weight range, coil inner diameter, and the crane hook it will hang from. Send us these three figures and we will recommend the correct configuration, including counterweight options for stable lifting.

Can a C hook lift two coils at once?

Yes — that is what the double coil variant is for. Twin prongs each take a coil by its bore, so a pair moves on one crane pick instead of two. Three things set the rating: both coils together must sit inside the hook's safe working load, the crane must cover that plus the weight of the hook itself, and the two coils should be close enough in weight for the hook to hang level. Send us your coil weight range and inner diameter and we will advise.

Do you make a pipe bundle hook?

Yes. A pipe bundle hook is the cradle-arm form of our container loading C hook — the same machine, with a long lower arm carrying a row of V-notch cradles in place of twin forks or a single coil arm. The cradles seat a bundle at several points along its length, so it does not sag against its own banding or roll as it lifts. The one shown on this page runs at 15 ton safe working load. Send us your bundle weight, length and diameter and we will size the arm and the cradle spacing.

Is the C hook customised to my requirement?

Yes. Every machine we build is custom-engineered — capacity, dimensions, and configuration are matched to your line. Send your requirement via the enquiry form or call +91 91091 02280 for a firm quote. Equipment is manufactured to ANSI/ASME B30.20, with proof load testing and certification, and test certificates are available on request.

Do you supply and install the C Hook anywhere in India?

Yes. The C Hook is built at our Pithampur works near Indore and sent by road to any plant in India, proof load tested and certified before despatch. Our engineers can attend site to check the fit against your crane hook and bay clearances.
